What a journey this life has been so far. From the very beginning, nothing could have prepared me for some of the stops along the way. I know today that I would not trade any of it away for even a moment but I take the time often, to reflect on the darkest of moments when I had nearly decided not to continue on this journey. I would one day discover that not only was I not alone but there were others who’s voices wanted so badly to get out- just as mine wished to get out. I took to writing stories, blog posts, and even creating websites to push out the voice that dare not speak in person. I named her Kate and she voiced every fear, every dark thought, every hope, and every dream in writing. She opened my world, she became my salvation, she was the strongest and bravest part of me– the part that could never, ever give up.
